Friesdale (freez'dale) n. A Friesian Clydesdale cross.  A breed of horse created by crossing a Friesian to a Clydesdale which produces a stunning horse that moves like a dream and is a sweet, gentle giant.

At Friesdale Farms we're dedicated to breeding the best quality 1st Premium Star inspected Friesdale mares to the best stallions out there. For our Drum Horse breeding the foals out of this cross are be more refined, have greater extension and flashier movement.  This cross will give you the looks, the style and the grace it takes to win at the shows every time and to enter in more disciplines than the standard Drum Horse.  Friesdale Farms has the only two 1st Premium Star mares in the GCDHA ID registry.  We are also breeding for 3/4 Friesians/Friesdales, and crossing our mares with Lusitano's for stunning Sport Horses in movement and looks.

Friesdale Farms is a private farm located in south central Wisconsin.  We have over 37 acres of gorgeous rolling hills, woods and plenty of pastures for our beautiful horses to enjoy.  Our horses have a nice barn to come and go as they please, 4 pastures and more love and affection than they know what to do with.  Michelle trims our own horses studying under Pete Ramey a natural hoof care specialist, we want everything in their lives to be as natural as possible.

Our horses are our family; they are loved as much as any human member could ever be.  We handle our horses daily, not only to make them safe and fun to be around, but because we simply love being around them. Horses are our life, we want only to produce the best of the best.  It's not about a business, it's about a passion.
